Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast who steered the U.S. team to victories in both 2012 and 2016. Aly Raisman holds Six Olympic medals and two World Championships gold medals. Aly is a native of Needham which is located in Massachusetts. The passion she has to gymnastics can be traced through an 18-month-old "mommy with me" class. Aly is an inspiration in the gym and off as well as a fervent proponent of body positivity. She was also recently, she came out in support of Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly Raisman was born in 1994, and started her gymnastics career at a young age. She helped the U.S. Gymnastics Team win the 2011 World Championships. After that she took home two gold medals--one in the team event and one in the individual floor exercise--and a bronze medal for the beam during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Raisman took silver both in the individual and floor finals at the 2016 Olympics at Rio. In addition, she took home a gold medal during the competition for team gymnastics. In 2017, Raisman revealed she had suffered sexual assault at the from the former team physician Larry Nassar, and the subsequent year, she sued USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee.
